
Give yourself over to a luxurious slice of 20s murder mystery this Christmas. If you missed ‘Agatha and the curse of Ishtar’ it is well worth a catch up on Five On Demand. In particular, Agatha’s almost safari styles in cream, and the mannish striped blazer seen in the still below, are brilliantly modern. The twenties was the decade when true modern fashion begins, so most of the looks on display are eminently wearable, even though we are now almost 100 years away. In addition, the daytime looks are just gorgeous, with Agatha rarely without a hat as she visits catacombs and the archaeological dig sites. Lyndsey Marshal stars as Agatha Christie and Jonah Hauer-King is Max Mallowan, the archaeologist vying for her affection.
